Addendum and poster

Apparently I was too quick to post, yesterday. It took til this morning, but KSTP has posted the article along with the video of the crazy St. Francis councilman which caught my attention while flipping channels. So now you can watch and judge for yourself, although as I mentioned in a discussion with my friend Tim, you CAN count on the media to edit the interview in order to get 100% pure uncut China White craziness.

Still, it doesn't appear that it took a lot of editing.

Also, rebounding from my crushing defeat on a technicality in Bruce Schneier's Third Annual Movie Plot contest (Pfft! "150 words or less"... it's a guideline!) my caption for the Bruce Schneier motivational poster has received wide acclaim. So that motivational poster is available by clicking on the thumbnail at left...

And WHY am I focusing my life on entering various contests on the Bruce Schneier blog? Because it's about the only blog I can actually justify reading while I'm at work!

Well, that, and I have no life.

I asked Bruce about your entry when I saw him last week... he said it was one of his favorites, but what could he do? Rulez is rulez.

Oooh, you little namedropper you!

Sure rules are rules, but I think I have an airtight case when I argue that he didn't specify what BASE for the 150-word limit! I just chose 150 in base 13!!

I'll take my case to the Supreme Court I will!!

(Now I'm starting to sound as crazy in that guy in the KSTP video. Did you see that? Man, that guy's a whole bag of crazy chips with crazy salsa.)

Oh, good lord...I just watched the video. We had an incident recently in nearby Snohomish involving not one, but 2 city council members - both white men in their 60s. They forwarded a racist, satirical email depicting a statue of liberty figure outside of the city with signs telling "illegal immigrants" where they could get their free welfare, hospital, etc. services. It was in response to 2 other council members who wanted to erect a "Welcome to Snohomish" sign. One of those second pair of council members sent it to the local newspaper which not only published the photo, but also published the entire article in both English and Spanish (making me proud of the local paper).
