Ice Columns - 20051203
This one hurt. On a snowy night I drove home seeing these amazing columns of light in the sky. I drove up from the south and when I got home I grabbed my camera and zoomed back out to the Marshall-Lake bridge.
Parking in the Town and Country Club parking lot, I ran around the lot fence towards the river, not sure how long this amazing phenomenon was going to last, and started snapping pictures. Just as I took this picture I took a step in the snow, and rolled my ankle on a large rock buried in the snow.
Eyes tearing with pain I hurried home and sent a copy of this image to the local news, who used it during the weather to explain the phenomenon.
Every time I look at this image my ankle hurts.
Eclipse and Organization - 20060418
My very first attempt at shooting a lunar eclipse, it's not too bad considering what I had to work with (10X optical zoom, small sensor).
The directory turned into yet another attempt to collect and organize some of my better photos, so there's a big variety in here including a cute drawing of the household computer network at the time.
MayDay Photographer - 20060508
She can be seen taking many photographs across from where I was shooting the 2006 May Day parade, and I always liked this portrait of this photographer at work.
